Spring Medicine Cabinet Cleanup

Spring is the perfect time to audit what’s in the cabinet, toss what’s expired, and restock what you actually need. Drop off unwanted meds at our in-store medication take-back bin — no questions asked.

Restock the essentials: pain relievers, antihistamines, first aid basics, a home blood pressure cuff if you monitor at home, and a 90-day supply of your daily prescriptions.

Health Spotlight: Pollen

For people with pollen allergies, the immune system misidentifies pollen as a dangerous invader — producing IgE antibodies, releasing histamine, and causing sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, and real allergy fatigue.

Peak pollen by type: tree pollen February–May; grass pollen May–July; weed pollen August–October.

OTC options: non-drowsy antihistamines (Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec); nasal corticosteroid sprays (Flonase, Nasacort); decongestants (Sudafed — ask us if you have blood pressure concerns); antihistamine eye drops (Zaditor, Pataday). Nasal spray + non-drowsy antihistamine together is often more effective than either alone.

When OTC isn’t enough, we offer same-day seasonal allergy testing through Scripted — and can dispense prescription treatment the same visit.
